| Welcome to Under 35s Under 35s Reinsurance Group Originally formed in 1972 the Under 35's Reinsurance Group has quickly developed over the years to become a large and diverse group engaged in a variety of educational and social activities for your professionals engaged in the Reinsurance market. Although not a club, the Under 35's charges no entrance or subscription fee, the Group is open to anyone under the age of 35 years who is engaged in or associated with the reinsurance business. Non-profit-making, the Group relies on the voluntary efforts of its 15 person committee shown on our Committee Contacts page. The original remit of the Group was to give a voice to the younger practitioners in the reinsurance market and whilst this remains our principal role, we are also engaged in many social events, training and educational trips both at home and abroad. The first educational visit abroad was to USA in 1975, since when we have arranged many others to such far away places as Australia and New Zealand, Indonesia, Taiwan, Singapore and Canada and several in the UK. Each trip provides invaluable overseas experience and contacts for the participating individuals and their sponsoring firms. Education and Training Throughout the year we arrange several educational events including Underwriting and Business Planning Seminars, Geohazard and Weather Workshops, Risk Visits and many other topical educational Fora. Our Workshops are recognised by the Chartered Insurance Institute, Lloyds and the Institute of Risk Management, qualifying for individual CPD credits. We are also actively involved with market committees, representing young professionals at the RITEC and IUA Educational and Training Executive committee. |
