The Under 35s Committee are pleased to release details, and the ability to register your interest, for our Annual Balloon Debate for 2026. An extremely longstanding and popular event in our calendar will once again be taking place in 2026 on the 7th October 2026.

Our event this year will be hosted at the Merchant Taylors’ Hall located at 30 Threadneedle Street in the City of London. The event is a great opportunity to hear from industry leaders discussing relevant topics and issues within our industry. The topic of discussion this year is “Who will go extinct first: Brokers of Underwriters?” A great subject and one many people in the industry are keeping a close eye on!

The ‘teams for this debate are as follows:

Chris Hayday (Gallagher)

George Harris-Hughes (Howden Re)

Max Mallen (Axis Capital)

Natalie Donald (Inigo)

The event will follow a very similar format to previous years with compare led discussions happening intermittently between dinner courses. There will be champagne on arrival, a three course dinner, half a bottle of wine per person and tea and coffee to finish the evening.

Tables are priced at £1,750 (10 people per table) and will be paid for by invoice. The dress code is Business Attire.

The form below is a chance to register your interest for a table at the Debate 2026. Filling out this form does not guarantee you or your company a table at the event and tables will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Due to the limited number of tables available, companies will only be able to purchase one table at the event.

The deadline for table applications is the 18th September 2026.
